There are many places online where you can buy a hard drive for your Xbox 360 and the price will vary considerably depending on the what your requirements are.  Great savings can be made by buying secondhand but in our experience a brand new hard drive is the best way to go.  Used Xbox 360 hard drives are an ‘unknown’ when it comes to working condition and without the manufacturers warranty it can be a big gamble unless you’ve managed to strike a really good deal.  Therefore our advice is to buy new if possible to avoid picking up a dodgy secondhand one.

A new Xbox 360 hard drive will set you back between £20 and £100 depending on how many gigs you need and many web sites sell them online but great savings can be made by going to the right place!  After trawling the net we found that Ebay and Amazon were the cheapest places.  On Ebay a 20 GB drive goes for around £20 plus delivery, while at the top end a 250 GB hard drive is around the £50.  If you want to save even more money and don’t mind waiting a couple of weeks to get your drive then consider buying from a Hong Kong based Ebay seller.  We found a brand new 250 GB Xbox 360 hard drive for £34.99 plus £5 delivery for sale buy a Hong Kong based seller, that’s a great deal at under £40!  But as mentioned earlier there is a longer waiting time for delivery and also as an added note there may be problems if the drive goes wrong.  It’s always a good idea to email the seller first and ask if you get a UK warranty with the drive.  Also when buying from Ebay always check that the seller has a good rating and that the feedback is positive, especially the recent comments.  The closer the seller is to the 100% feedback score the better!

The other place to buy a Xbox 360 Hard drive as mentoned previously is Amazon.  If you’ve never bought from them then you will not be disapointed with their great service.  They were one of the first E-commerce stores to really make an impact online and the fact that they’ve survived to this day proves they have a great customer service.  We found a brand new 20 GB hard drive for £21.95 plus postage and a 250 GB drive for £54.95 plus postage.  So with that in mind why not take a look at Amazon and see what deals you can pick up.
